Blake Shelton Sings About Gwen Stefani In Front Of Miranda Lambert At ACMs

Blake Shelton helped open the 2016 Academy of Country Music Awards in probably the most awkward method potential. 

The nation singer and “Voice” coach sang his soulful new hit, “Came Here To Forget,” together with his ex-spouse Miranda Lambert within the viewers. The factor is, the music is rumored to be about his present girlfriend, Gwen Stefani.

With lyrics like, “Girl getting over him and I’m getting over her/ The eyes have it made, ain’t gotta say a phrase/ Misery loves firm, that’s why it’s you and me,” we would not need to be Lambert proper about now. 

Shelton hasn’t denied that Stefani is a large affect on his new music, beforehand telling Entertainment Tonight that it does not take “a rocket scientist” to determine that his upcoming album will function a variety of songs concerning the “No Doubt” frontwoman.  

“If you’ve adopted my profession even somewhat bit in my life, you recognize what has occurred with me within the final, gosh, eight or 9 months,” Shelton stated, referencing his current divorce and new relationship. 

The “Honey Bee” singer added, “I can put my life expertise, whether or not it’s a divorce or my new girlfriend, no matter these experiences are, no matter issues which are occurring in my life, I have an outlet for them,” Shelton stated. “I have music. I can write songs, I can sing about it.”
